Meet Marissa Bellini, mom to Gemma and Stella, wife and CFO of Village and Life hotel group. Marissa is a lover of fashion but being time poor means she has to pull outfits together with speed before school drop off. She believes this should be a joyful and stress-free process which can only be achieved if the basics are in place for whatever the look is she wants to go for on the day. Marissa’s wardrobe is a mix of classic French labels and a vast amount of dresses. Her favourite styles include broderie anglaise, especially monochromatic, boho and vintage DvF. She is forever seeking good second-hand pieces and dresses that can transition between work and weekend.
Why did you decide to join the Rental Revolution with OnRotate and share your wardrobe?
We all have those pieces we are not quite ready to part with, and also can’t justify them just sitting in our closets.
Clothes must be worn!
If you had to describe your style in three words, what would they be?
Classic, cool and versatile.
Whose wardrobe would you most like to rent – dead, alive or fiction?
Currently it’s a toss up between @meganalidastrachan and @anna_bromilow.
What are your favourite pieces from other Lenders’ wardrobes on the Platform?
I love dresses and can never have too many. The sequin Olivia Rubin dress is so happy.
If you could be a colour or a print which one would you be and why?
Ivory. Head to toe, or just a single item, works so well in Cape Town, winter or summer. Add gold jewellery any season. Add straw accessories in summer or an ivory coat in winter. Too many options!
What is the most treasured item in your wardrobe?
I like to invest in leather. Hence my leather items I have curated and saved for spark the most joy. The soft leather trenchcoats (in ivory!) and chocolate brown, the belts, the shoes and the bags. With every scratch they just become more special.
